5/1/2023 EnchantaVaughn Approved (AM)Client had a difficult morning handling his emotions. Client gets upset easily and displays episode when told to follow orders and wait his turn. Client exhibits little patience and starts displaying inappropriate behaviors, such as falling out in his seat, making loud noises, rolling his eyes at authority, pouting, stomping his feet, and kicking objects in front of him. Client have a hard time controlling himself when faced with confrontation. Client often talks back to authority and acts out if he does not receive attention. Client was redirected to act more civilized and lower his voice. Client was directed to make better choices and listen to the adult. (PM)Client had a difficult time following direction. Client failed to comply with authority requests and was sent to have one on one with mental health counselor. Client was inquired why he was having a hard time sitting quietly and getting his work done. Client was not in a good mood and continued to present negative expressions and behaviors in class, refusing to answer any questions. Client communicated negative facial expressions, indicating he was not interested in the assigned activity. Client was reprimanded by adult staff who tried empathizing with him to get him to cheer up and have a fun time. Client responded well to constructive criticism and began to switch his attitude. Client exhibited non-aggressive behaviors around his peers and was able to finish his session smoothly. Client showed great involvement and expressed positive feelings with group and mental health professional.(EOD)Client was observed utilizing acquired skills learned in group to reduce symptoms of ADHD. Client did a good job walking away from conflict and telling an adult when he needed assitance with a stressful situation before going back to class to prepare for dismissal.
